The heavy slow moving band of rain is moving slowly across Southern and Central parts of United Kingdom. Shouldn't reach Northern parts.. A few thundery downpours in places, else where will be dry. A few spells of rain in parts of Ireland and Northern parts.

Past 24 hours, Gravesend had the highest temperature of 20.5°C.
Redesdale Camp had a total of 34.4 mm of precipitation.

Still some thundery heavy downpours across Southern, Eastern and Central parts of England. Parts of Ireland becoming much drier, as so the rest of England. Rain should ease off a bit throughout the night in parts of England, still some heavy rain in parts of Central and Eastern England.

Tomorrow morning we start with some Thundery showers starting in Central England, then extending to South England. Top temperature 18°C in Eastern parts of England. Lowest temperature will be around the Northern parts of England, especially Scotland. During the evening there will be some Heavy Thundery Downpours, especially for East Anglia with showers for Central England, Northern Ireland some patchy rain in Scotland and for the South there will be patchy rain too.

There is a severe weather watch for Thunderstorms and Heavy rain for these areas;
CENTRAL ENGLAND
SOUTHERN ENGLAND
SOUTH EAST ENGLAND

THERE IS A POSSIBILITY OF SEVERE WEATHER AFFECTING THE INDICATED REGIONS IN THE TIME PERIOD SPECIFIED. THREATS WITHIN THIS WATCH INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
HEAVY RAIN...MODERATE HAIL...FLASH FLOODING...WEAK FUNNELS

DISCUSSION:
DIURNAL HEATING COUPLED WITH CAPE VALUES OF CLOSE TO 1000J/KG IS GENERATING STRONG CONVECTION ASSISTED BY WIND CONVERGENCE ACROSS SOUTHERN ENGLAND CURRENTLY. A SLACK WIND FLOW MEANS SLOW MOVING HEAVY DOWNPOURS AND THUNDERSTORMS OCCUR ACROSS THE REGIONS SPECIFIED RESULTING IN FLASH FLOODING. WEAK BUT POSSIBLY SUFFICIENT LLS MAY BE ENOUGH TO ORGANISE CELLS FOR FUNNELS AND/OR WEAK TORNADOES, WITH INCREASING DLS LATER IN THE WATCH PERIOD.

This is issued for throughout tonight.
