Clear blue skies to my south, however some large CB's to my north and east (heading away from me off course) these in the last few minutes have started to generate the odd sferic.

Just heard the first distant rumble of thunder for today here in Halesowen although there's been several heavy showers in the area all morning

Rain already begun, Dark Grey mass perfectly lined up for a Horsham soaking.

Deep rumbles of thunder from cells just to our NW, seems to be slipping between here and Sevenoaks. No lightning seen, not raining here but can see it within 5 miles..

It's literally just turned black here, but with very light rain. Suddenly turned humid and oppressive. Very very low cloud with marginal rotation. It defintately looks like something is ready to explode-be very surprised if nothing comes of it

Update-storm just broken out with very large raindrops

Another TS not dissimilar to yesterday just going through Tyneside at present, mainly IC, SHRAGS to start with, then proceeded to +RA.

Rain now stopped but CBs all around.

Could be the one I've just been watching. It's pretty much quietened down here, but the rain was horrendous and a few bits of hail for good measure. I wouldn't be surprised if there's a bit of local flooding somewhere the rain was that horrendous. And I stand corrected it's still lingering-big flash of lightning and big booming thunder. Rains just about stopped though

First distant rumble of the day. Hoping for more. The clouds look really 'scuddy' and takes a second glance to realise that's all it is at times.
