Solenzara (Corse-du-Sud), 29.6°C (highest maximum)

Sari-Solenzara is a village located on the coastal southern part of la Plaine Orientale (the Eastern Plain), which is the largest on the island.
This coastline is the least interesting in Corsica, due to the fact that it's all flat; the beaches are not really outstanding there.
It's in this plain that we can find the most numerous areas of market gardening, of fruit growing, etc.
The economy is thus more agriculture-oriented than tourism-oriented, there.

Eus (Pyrénées-Orientales), 4.9°C (lowest minimum under 500 m. asl)

A cold night in the eastern part of the Pyrenees, including at low altitude and also very close to the Spanish border. Very heavy rain from the gulf of Lion into the Rhône valley up to Lyon, the result of this is a pretty strong temperature fall. Away from all this bad weather, only Corsica, swept by warm southerlies, even if a few showers have been observed on the island.

Aiguille du Midi (Haute-Savoie), -10.1°C (lowest minimum at any height)

Le cirque du Fer à Cheval (the cirque of the Horseshoe), in Haute-Savoie, not too far from the Aiguille du Midi:

It is always pleasant for the eyes, to see a beautiful scenery. Well, that is never worth a real trip, but it remains nice for those who cannot travel, to dream a little. :)
