Convective Reports Friday 26th-Saturday 27th October 2012

Convergence from backing wind over the land during Friday night abutting the Northerly gradient over the North Sea may be the ingredients for quite a thundery night along the east coast of England, perhaps with some interesting falls of hail. Sea temps Lincs southwards are between 13 and 16 degrees, so air likely to become very unstable.
Low risk convergence induced tornadoes eastern Lincs and western Norfolk Friday night.
Well worth watching this set-up.
A thread for reports, particularly for hail.

Hi Nigel,
yes fully agree and to be honest well spotted. ...For me everything looked pretty benign till the last model run!!
have nevertheless started a convective outlook thread here in any case

PS. The thing that gets me the most is the the incredible lapse rate forecast. The North Sea SST still mild this should potentially really kick off some good convective activity east coast regions. The potential for hail showers could well see some wading in what looks like snow!
